Riverwood Low Impact Development Infrastructure Performance and Risk Assessment

Posted by | 0 Comments

This 3 year study initiated in 2010 at the Riverwood Conservancy in Mississauga evaluates the bioretention cell’s ability to control runoff volume and remove pollutants.   The Riverwood Conservancy bioswale was one of the first of its kind on public lands property in Mississauga. The construction of the Riverwood retrofit took place in the early 2000’s and the installation of the performance assessment equipment was completed in Spring 2010.

The Low Impact Development practice at Riverwood treats stormwater runoff, promotes infiltration and retention, and slows the release of stormwater runoff.
