Webinar: Implementing LID – The 10 Step Process (Previously Recorded)

Online anytime!
Estimated time requirement: 45 minutes
Instructor: Kyle Vander Linden

Course Description

Low impact development (LID), an innovative stormwater management approach that treats, infiltrates, filters, and retains runoff at the source, is quickly becoming the new norm in Ontario. Traditionally, stormwater management has been an end-of-pipe practice located on public property and maintained by public agencies. However, low impact development (LID) is fundamentally different because it is intended to treat stormwater runoff at the source.
While still relatively new to Ontario, LID is gaining a lot of traction. In this webinar, you will learn the critical steps to implementing an LID project and how following these steps will contribute to project success. These 10 steps will streamline the process of implementing LID and help you avoid the common issues and pitfalls encountered in planning, designing, tendering, constructing, certifying and maintaining LID. You will learn what information and resources are needed to complete each step, and see real-world examples of LID projects that have followed this 10 step process for successful implementation.
