Posted by | 0 Comments

This 2 year study initiated in 2013 evaluated the effectiveness of a  Low Impact Development (LID) retrofit to the Green Glade Senior Public School property.   In 2011, Green Glade Senior Public School retrofitted the school property to incorporate a rain garden. The rain garden accepts runoff from a portion of the school’s roof as well as runoff from a section of the parking lot.

Case Study

The Green Glade Senior Public School site is also grouped with 7 other Public Lands sites for a larger monitoring program.  The sites were grouped together because they are all classified as bioretention features and are located on the same land-use type, but each site was designed and implemented differently making them individually unique. The objectives of this report are to analyze the meteorological conditions and water quantity data of the eight Public Lands sites.
