Course Description
Learn the ins and outs of construction site turbidity monitoring during this webinar, which will detail new turbidity monitoring best practices and targets based on the forthcoming Erosion and Sediment Control Guide for Urban Construction, initially circulated for review in March 2019. Topics covered will include (i) the benefits of a performance based approach to construction site sediment management (ii) the new turbidity targets for receiving water systems and site effluents, (iii) how the targets relate to existing guidelines (e.g. Canadian Water Quality Guidelines), standards (e.g. Canadian Standards Association ESC Inspection and Monitoring Standard) and policies, and (iv) monitoring considerations for assessing the extent to which targets are being met, based on both turbidity levels and duration.
