The National / International Green Infrastructure Certification Program (NGICP / IGICP) was developed as a certification and training program to set standards for designers, inspectors, contractors, and maintenance staff involved in the design, construction, and operation and maintenance of Green Infrastructure (GI) practices.
The program offers participants the opportunity to gain expertise in GI materials and vegetation, construction practices, site safety, and management for long term performance. GI practices include bioretention, permeable/porous pavements, rainwater harvesting, green and blue roofs, dry wells, and constructed stormwater wetlands.
