Course Description
This previously recorded webinar will help guide the planning and implementation of in-water works to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and programs for Permit Applications under Regulation 166/06. Some examples of Best Management Practices (BMP’s) will also be presented to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of in-water works. This will include construction projects in both lacustrine and riverine environments. A summary of ecological impacts of fish and wildlife habitat will be high-lighted to stress the important of effective isolation methods. Discussions will also include monitoring requirements, and mitigation of impacts, should problems arise during construction, and how this may trigger a Permit Revision.
