At Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), she has been involved in the development of Authority policies, programs and projects relating to ecosystem management, provided technical review of Master Environmental Servicing Plans (MESP), Environmental Assessments (EA), planning and permit applications, subwatershed plans, watershed strategies, report cards, and other watershed studies.

Ms. Parish has extensive experience in conducting and supervising the review, and comment, of technical reports, drawings and documents submitted in support of plans and permit applications under the Development, Interference with Wetlands and Alterations to Shorelines and Watercourses Regulation (Reg.166/06), ensuring that environmental policies are adhered to.

Ms. Parish’s vast experience in environmental protection techniques began in the private sector, as a consultant representing municipal governments, developers, corporations in the mining, hydro electric, as well as oil and gas industries. She implements a solutions-oriented approach and effective decision making when providing technical review of terrestrial and aquatic natural heritage management planning and environmental protection measures.

Starting her career as an environmental monitor for multi-disciplinary projects, she gained valuable field experience in the assessment and mitigation of potential ecological impacts. Ms. Parish’s proactive approach to the mitigation of ecological impacts serves her well in assisting TRCA’s enforcement staff and municipal partners to avoid or minimize detrimental effects to the natural heritage system of the GTA.
